 Fundraising and Donations Minimize

Scooniehill Group is very fortunate to have a loyal band of committed and enthusiastic fund raisers.

Every year we hold a coffee morning and can collections throughout our local area and we are always amazed at the generosity of the local community. We also receive donations from local and national trusts and fundraising groups.

Some local organisations and schools give us the proceeds of concerts or special events, and we have been fortunate to be the chosen charity of the University of St Andrews’s Polo Club. Elie and Earlsferry Ladies Golf Club also supported us throughout this year in inventive ways such as a penalty of 50p every time a ball landed in the "captain’s bunker"!

Everyone that works with the group is a volunteer. Apart from a small (but very necessary) amount spent on insurance, training and affiliation fees, every penny raised goes towards hiring horses and ponies for the riders. To put it quite simply, the more funds that we raise, the more riders we are able to support.

Jen Corbett, Captain of Elie and Earlsferry Ladies Golf Club, and Alan Corbett, a member of the Saints and Sinners organisation, visit the group after arranging substantial donations from their respective organisations
